HENNERTY (Greystones, Co. Wicklow) - November 26, 2014 (peacefully) Prof. Michael U.C.D. (retired). Sadly missed by his wife Máire, daughters Róisín and Maeve and son Fergal. Sons-in-law Philip and Alex and daughter-in-law Carol, his grandchildren Thomás, Úna, Rúairí, Lochlann and Isabella, sister Angela, relatives and friends. R.I.P. Reposing today (Friday) from 2.00pm at Patrick O'Donovan & Son Funeral Home, Victoria Road, Greystones. Removal tomorrow (Saturday) to the Church of the Holy Rosary for 11.00am Requiem Mass. Funeral to Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold's Cross. Donations in lieu of flowers please to Our Lady's Hospice, Blackrock.

HENNERTY Michael - On Michael's First Anniversary, Maire and family, Róisín, Fergal and Maeve, together with Michael's sister, Angela will be thinking of Michael and remembering him. We would like to thank everyone who sympathised with us on the loss of Michael. Many thanks to family, friends, former colleagues and neighbours who visited throughout his illness and were so helpful during the bereavement. Our thanks to all the medical staff who took care of him and The Blackrock Hospice for their kindness to Michael and the family.

<p>A great man</p> <p><span>Very, very saddened to hear of Prof’s passing. Mick was a fantastic witty, irreverent all round good person –a mentor, tutor, friend and father figure. </span></p> <p><span>A man with a great store of witty tales who regaled us all many times over the years, he always had time for his students and kept in touch after we left. </span></p> <p><span>A true scholar and gentleman in absolutely in absolutely every sense and a champion for horticulture and apples. </span></p> <p><span>My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and former colleagues. </span></p> <p><span>Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam</span></p> <p><span> Nola O'Donnell</span></p>
