PIERCE (Percy) Hickey (The Square, Skibbereen) (First Anniversary, 14.02.41 - 07.04.09) Remembering Percy,
He lived a full life at the hub of everything,
but always had time for everyone.
We will remember him,
When the trumpet plays,
When the band parades,
When the golf club swings,
When the fire bell rings,
When the newsagents convene,
When the Cape ferry comes in,
When the newspapers arrive,
When Munster scores a try,
When the lotto brings us luck,
And in the photos that he took.
We will remember,
His eyes glinting with humour,
His hand open in friendship,
His courage in the face of illness,
As long as we live,
He will live on,
In our hearts.
We miss you, Percy - Fionnghuala, Clodagh, Sandra and Pierce. First anniversary Mass will take place in St. Patrick's Cathedral, Skibbereen, on Wednesday, April 7 at 9.30am.
