WHELAN John Desmond (Des) (Taylors Hill, Galway) died April 19, 2011. His wife Angela and his children Frank, Suzanne, Desmond, Ross and Alma wish to express their appreciation and gratitude for all the kindness and support given in so many ways by family, friends and neighbours on the recent very sad loss of Des, a loving husband and father. Thank you to all those who sympathised with them and attended the funeral, especially those who travelled long distances and those who sent Mass cards, flowers and letters. Deepest gratitude to the medical team and the staff at Galway Clinic for their kindness and exemplary care of Des. Sincere thanks to Fr. Dick Lyng PP for making the funeral Mass so meaningful and a special thank you to the magnificent Augustian Choir.
