ROSE Patti (née Caulfield) (late of Terenure, Dublin and Hollymount, Co Mayo) - As we approach the First Anniversary of the passing of my wonderful wife and best friend, Patti on September 23, 2009, I would like to acknowledge the help and support of many people, Patti's brothers John, Bill, Pat, sisters Marie Clarke, Anne Hughes, Rita O'Reilly and Judith Walshe, her brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-law, her nephews and nieces, grandnephews and nieces and also my own cousins in Ireland and England and Mandy, Wayne, Daniel and Mitchell Doyle and Terry and Clare Baldwin. We all would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the many people who supported and comforted the family in her sad passing. Patti was a very special person - kind and loving, and was a "fairy godmother" to all her nephews and nieces and never forgot a birthday or anniversary, loyal and true and of strong faith. She radiated warmth and friendliness and these gifts touched and enriched all who had the good fortune to meet her. To the extended family from all over Ireland England and abroad, to Fr Crispin O.F.M. who celebrated Mass in Terenure and Fr Richard Gibbons the requiem Mass in Knock and to all of Patti's neighbours and friends who attended her funeral in Dublin and to those travelled to Knock, Co Mayo for her burial with her parents, we are truly grateful. I thank Paddy Joe O'Brien Funeral Director Knock whose empathy and professionalism helped greatly during this sad time. To all those who sent cards, messages, flowers and warm wishes, to the hundreds of people who attended Mass including many who knew Patti from her days in The Wool Shop in Rathmines many years ago and later as a carer, thank you. In recognition of the kindness and compassion shown to us the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. Patti's First Anniversary Mass will take place on Saturday next, September 25, at 6.00 p.m. in St Joseph's Church, Terenure.
