RYAN Monica (Mona) (née Geraghty) (Caledon Road, East Wall, Dublin and formerly of Collon, Co. Louth) Died peacefully 5th February 2011. Mona's sons and daughters Michael (Mick) Gretta (Uí Murchú) Winifred (O'Donnell) Gertrude (Morris) and Nicholas, her son-in-law Eamon O'Donnell whom she regarded as a son, together with her daughter Monica's children; Malachi, Jacqueline, Margaret, Jennifer and James, to whom Mona was mother when Monica died at an early age, and Mona's extended family, wish to sincerely thank everyone who shared with us in our recent bereavement. Mona was a pillar of strength through hard times and was an inspiration to us, her family. She embraced life fully and lived to see not only her great-grandchildren but her great-great-grandchildren. Our mother was also a kind and concerned neighbour, who will be greatly missed by all. We, her family, wish to say a special thanks to those who attended the Funeral Mass and Burial, of this great lady. Thank you also to those who sent Mass cards, floral tributes and donations to Nazareth House. We would like to make mention of how touched we were that so many of Mona's friends and neighbours came to pay their respects to her, especially Tony and Deirdre. Our gratitude goes to the Sisters and staff of Nazareth House Nursing Home for their loving care of Mona. A special thanks to Fr Seán Fleury of Nazareth House for his genuine rapport with Mona in the last years of her life, and for his moving speech at her Funeral Mass. Our gratitude also goes to Fr James Ojo who celebrated Mona's Mass and Fr Malachy Conlon PP Kilkerley, Dundalk, who concelebrated and special thanks to Seamus Brett, organist and Margaret Brennan soloist. We wish to thank Lanigan Undertakers for their sensitive handling of the funeral. At this time we also remember Mona's late husband, Ned Ryan, her daughters Eithne and Monica, her son-in-law Eamon Ó Murchú, her brothers Nicholas and John, and sisters Rita and Jean. Mona's Month's Mind Mass will take place on Sunday 6th of March at 10.30am in Nazareth House. A Mass has been offered for all your intentions.Ar Dheis Lámh Dé,
