<p>DERHAM (Frankfield, Cork) - June 10, 2011 (peacefully) after a long illness bravely borne in the loving care of the staff of The Bon Secours Sisters, St. Joseph's Hospital, Mt. Desert, Cork. Joseph Matthew B.E., beloved husband of the late Pamela (née Coyle) and loving father of Roger, Paul, Jonathan and Madeleine; he will be sadly missed by his daughters-in-law Brenda, Jan and Martine, grandchildren David, Heather, Nicole, Brian, Owen, Paul, Ben, Katie, Elizabeth, Conor and Ciara, great-grandchild Leon, sisters and brothers, nephews, nieces, godchild, relatives, neighbours, colleagues and friends. In life Joe had an absolute certainty in his faith and that resolve gave him enormous fortitude when facing the uncertainty of death. Lying in repose at The Temple Hill Funeral Home, Boreenmanna Road of Jerh O'Connor Ltd, removal on Monday at 7 o'c to the Church of the Incarnation, Frankfield, requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon, funeral afterwards to St. Michael's Cemetery, Blackrock.'Ah, my sweet Lord Jesus, thanks be to thee again and again for every part of my life. Lord, thy will and not mine be done.' - Anne Catherine Emmerich.<br />May he rest in peace.</p>
