BYRNE Brendan Paul (Blackrock, Co. Dublin). On this the First Anniversary of Brendan's death, July 27, 2012, his widow Máirín MacDonagh-Byrne (née Stewart) and her family would like to thank those who supported them and sympathised with them on their loss. In particular, they would like to thank Brendan's Godson Paul Egan and his family for their unstinting help and Máirín's wonderful neighbours, especially Frank and Marie Guilfoyle, who have been selfless in their generosity. The St Vincent's palliative care staff tended to Brendan in his final days and made those days much easier to bear, for which we are very grateful. Thank you to all who helped Brendan and who helped us; your regard and love has made a great burden more easily borne.
