O'CONNOR, Helena

O'CONNOR Helena (September 10th, will mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Helena O'Connor (née McDonnell). Lena was the first of seven children born to George and Margaret McDonnell in Dublin. Lena married Richard (Dick) O'Connor in Rathmines Church in September 1947 and together they had four daughters, Helen (deceased), Pat, Claire and Evelyn. In 2011, the McDonnell family reunited and it was evident that Lena touched so many lives. She was a strong and gentle lady with a heart of gold and we feel so privileged to have called her our mother. In the centenary of her birth and every other day, we remember and miss Lena.
