PETRIE, (Ronnie) (March 14, 2005) - We remember Ronnie today and every day with great love and affection on this the first anniversary of his passing and with gratitude for the life we shared with him. He is deeply missed. - Ger, Karin and Clodagh together with Ronnie's brothers Ted and Gerry, sisters Shelagh, Elinor, Linda and Joanna wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us in so many ways. The large attendance at the removal and funeral mass, the many letters, mass cards and generous donations to the Marie Curie Cancer Foundation bore witness to the esteem and affection in which Ronnie was held. This is a wonderful comfort and consolation for us all. Our grateful thanks to all who provided exceptional medical care, in particular Dr David Fennelly and the team at the Blackrock Clinic. Our appreciation also to Fr Martin Tierney for his care, attention and inspiring Mass. Mass will be offered for all your intentions."The Lord is close to the brokenhearted"
