MALONE, Tony, (Vernon Street, Dublin 8, died May 27, 2009) - On the First Anniversary of Tony's death his wife Marie, daughter Katie, sons Daragh, Anthony and Donnchadh and their families wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all who supported us during this very sad time. We were overwhelmed by the support shown to us by the extended family, friends, neighbours, Tony's friend's from the entertainment business and the many people Tony came into contact with during his full life. Thank you for the beautiful wreaths, Mass Cards and wonderful letters. Our thanks to all the doctors and medical staff in the oncology department of St James's Hospital who looked after Tony so well. A very special thank you to Fr Bernard Murphy who celebrated Tony's funeral Mass and to the Carmelite Fathers in Whitefriar Street Church who concelebrated his Mass and offered up Masses and prayers for Tony during his illness. To Tony's nephew Eamonn, grandnephew Dermot and family friend Frank O'Brien..thank you for the wonderful singing. To Finbar Furey..thank you for the beautiful rendition of 'The Last Rose of Summer'. Special thanks to Patrick Gageby, our great friend for his touching eulogy. Thank you to the Butler family for supplying the evening music. From the bottom of our hearts we thank each and every one of you for being there for us. Mass will be offered for your intentions.
