WHELAN, George (Ballinamona, Campile, Co. Wexford) (March 13, 1964 - May 27, 2009) - The family of the late George, his wife Elmar, daughters Orlaith and Ellen, and sisters Helen, Clare and Anne, would like to express our sincere thanks to our relatives and friends for all the support, help and kindness we received on the sudden passing of George. We wish to thank all those who attended his wake and funeral, some who travelled long distances to be here, those who sympathised, sent Mass Cards, letters of sympathy and floral tributes. Thank you to Dr. Kevin Byrne, the nursing and medical staff of Waterford Regional Hospital for their kindness and care given to George during his brief illness. A sincere thank you to Fr Gerald O'Leary for all his help and support during George's brief illness and after his passing, prior to, during and after the funeral. Thanks also to Fr John French, Fr Shem Furlong and Fr Senan Furlong for concelebrating his Funeral Mass and to the Horeswood Parish Choir for their beautiful singing. A special word of thanks to Joanne Cooney and her staff for their help, kindness and professionalism shown to us. Thank you to all of those who formed Guards of Honour at the removal and the funeral. As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere and heartfelt thanks.Beautiful Memories are wonderful things,
They last till the longest day.
They never wear out,
They never get lost,
And can never be given away.
To some you may be forgotten,
To others a part of the past.
But to us who loved you and lost you,
Your memory will always last.
George's Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on Saturday May 29 at 7.00pm in St James's Church, Campile, Horeswood, Co.Wexford.
