FENNELL Nuala - On the occasion of the First Anniversary of Nuala's passing (August 11, 2009), Brian, Jacqueline, Garrett, Amanda, and their extended families wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of those who sympathised with us, and to our friends, neighbours and colleagues who have supported us in the past year. We express our particular thanks to Nuala's former colleagues in public life, journalism and the many organisations that she was involved with throughout her life for their expressions of sympathy and support. We were deeply touched by the many people who attended the removal and funeral Services and are deeply appreciative of the huge numbers of letters, calls, Mass cards, messages, flowers and the donations to St. Vincent de Paul in her memory. We are also very grateful to Dr. Donald McCarthy and the wonderful staff of the Maple and Redwood units of St. Vincent's Private Hospital, where Nuala received such dedicated care, and the many people who donated blood and platelets - their generosity made an extraordinary difference to her quality of life and her time with us. Nuala was an extraordinary person and we are very lucky to have shared our lives with her. We know that she touched the lives of many people, and she truly made a difference.
