HUGHES (Corofin, Tuam, Co. Galway) Canon Oliver PP late of Springvale and President of St Jarlath's College, Tuam - September 14, 2010 at UCHG. Deeply regretted by his loving family, Mary (Mannion; Limerick), Pearl (Cawley; Claremorris), Nuala (Dublin), Majella (O'Donnell; Spiddal), Angela (Dublin), John (Springvale), Regina (Fitzgerald; Celbridge), Tom (Cahergal), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, his life long friend Roseanne (Parkmore, Tuam), Archbishop Michael Neary and priests of the Archdiocese of Tuam, devoted parishioners of Corofin parish and past pupils of St Jarlath's College, and a wide circle of friends. Concelebrated Mass today (Friday) at 12 noon in Corofin Church with burial afterwards in the Church grounds.

<p>Thanks</p> <p>I knew Oliver in Tuam when attending the Mercy Convent. I always enjoyed his mass and much appreciated thanks for the food he bought me. He was lovely and will sadly be missed.</p> <p>RIP friend</p>
