CUMMINS Fr. Norbert (John) O.C.D. (Avila, Dublin/ Loughrea, Co. Galway) - July 19, 2011, in his 97th year, (peacefully), in the gentle care of the Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Sybil Hill; deeply regretted by his Discalced Carmelite family, relatives and friends. Removal to Avila, Morehampton Road, Dublin today (Thursday) at 2.30 o'clock followed by Vigil Mass at 3 o'clock Removal afterwards to The Abbey, Loughrea arriving at 7.30 o'clock (approx). Requiem Mass tomorrow (Friday) at 12 noon in The Abbey, with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.Requiescat in pace

I mat Fr Norbert when he was well into his 80s and have to thank him for a lot of guidance in few words over a couple of years. He recognised independence of mind and freedom at heart - far beyond legalistic formality.​Forever grateful. BS
