HOGAN Sean - On the First Anniversary of Sean's death his mother, Kitty, his brother Frank (Limerick), his sister Alicia (Donegal), his sister-in-law Fran, his niece, nephews, aunts and uncle, along with the extended family acknowledge their debt of gratitude to many people. They owe particular thanks to Dr. Pillay, Sister Rose and all the staff of Ward Medical 2 at South Tipperary General Hospital who looked after Sean so kindly, and to the Staff at St. Patrick's Cashel, who were so good to him. Grateful thanks also to nurses Teresa, Carmel, Anne and his good friend Margaret Crosse all of whom improved the quality of Sean's life with their loving care. Sean's carers, Mary, Kitty, Dominica and Naomi were his constant companions and he appreciated and enjoyed their help and friendship and laughter each day. Heartfelt gratitude to them, and to Pat and Majella, Mary McCarthy, Ollie, Noel, Timmy, and Postman Paul all of whom contributed so much to Sean's life. Thank you also to Eleanor, who looked after Sean's much admired dog Fido when the need arose, and to his dear neighbours and friends at St. Patrick's Gardens who visited him regularly and who along with John Bob and Tess brightened his days. They shared much laughter. Sean's friends and colleagues from his professional life at The Irish Times and from his social life came to bid him goodbye. Thank you to them, each and every one, for taking time out of their busy schedules to see him on his way. He would have been greatly impressed! To Marie, Myra, Michael Ryan and the kind neighbours and friends who were so helpful and thoughtful, and to James Devitt and Company, who arranged Sean's funeral so very well many many thanks. Thank you to Sean's dear lifetime friend Mary Brennan who was so helpful in bringing together the wonderful talents of Gerald and Matthew who provided the music for Sean's funeral Mass, and to the clergy from Cashel and from Rockwell College, all of whom together made it quite as he would have wished...... and pray for me, as I will pray for you and all your friends,
that we may merrily meet in Heaven.
