DOHERTY, Eamonn (former Garda Commissioner) (Rathfarnham and formerly Buncrana, Co. Donegal) - April 24, 2010 (peacefully) at The Beacon Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness borne with courage and dignity; he will be deeply missed by his heart-broken family, his loving wife Patricia, daughters Deirdre, Patricia and Fionnuala, sons Colm and Eamonn, sons-in-law Michael and Edwin, daughters-in-law Julie and Sandra and his loving grandchildren Douglas, Andrew, Anna, Laura, Ellen and Aoife. Loved and sadly missed by his sisters Maureen and Bridgeen, brothers Tony and Aidan, in-laws, nephews, nieces and many friends. Eamonn will be waked at his home today (Monday). Removal tomorrow (Tuesday) morning to Church of St. Paul of the Cross, Mount Argus for 11 o'c Mass, followed by Funeral to Mount Venus Cemetery. Family flowers only."Resting where no shadows fall".
