MESSITT Bertie (Shankill, Co. Dublin, former Irish Olympian) - February 18, 2012, (peacefully), at home, after a long illness; sadly missed by his loving wife Maureen, sons Raymond, Alan, Stephen and Nigel, daughter Lesley (Scanlon), brother Liam, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughters-in-law, fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Reposing at Thomas Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, Boghall Road, Bray this (Monday) evening from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock with Evening Prayers at 7 o'clock Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.20 o'clock to St. Anne's Church, Shankill for 11 o'clock funeral Mass followed by interment in Shanganagh Cemetery.May he rest in peace.
