DOHERTY (Bohernasup, Ballina, Co. Mayo) - February 23, 2010, (suddenly), at Castlebar General Hospital, Joseph (Josie), beloved husband of Nuala and dear father of Paschal, Alan, Siobhán (Donohoe) and Barry; sadly missed by his loving wife and family, brother-in-laws, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Rest in peace. Requiem Mass today (Thursday) morning at 11am in St. Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina, with burial afterwards in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina. Family flowers only, donations to Mayo/Roscommon Hospice, care of McGowans Funeral Home, Ballina.
DOHERTY, Joseph (Josie), Bohernasup, Ballina, Co. Mayo, died February 23, 2010 - On the occasion of Josie's First Anniversary his wife Nuala, sons Paschal, Alan and Barry, daughter Síobhan, daughters-in-law, Pauline and Helen, son-in-law Martin, grandchildren, brothers Seamus and Liam and extended family, wish to express our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us on Josie's sudden death. Thank you to all who attended the removal and funeral Mass and to those who sent beautiful letters and cards. We would like to offer our sincerest thanks to Dr. Tony Melody, to ambulance paramedic, P.J. Padden and to doctors and nurses in the intensive care unit of Castlebar Hospital. We wish to thank Fr. Brendan Hoban and priests who concelebrated funeral Mass with him, soloist Sharon Molloy and organist Patsy Doherty for making the ceremony so special. We acknowledge with thanks the exemplary services provided by Mc Gowans Funeral Directors. Finally, our deep appreciation to all our friends who continue to support us. Mass will be offered for your intentions. First Anniversary Mass will be celebrated in St. Muredach's Cathedral on Saturday February 26, 2011 at 10.00a.m.
