Our condolences
Very sorry to hear of Eddie's recent passing. We trained together on the commencement course in ranelagh in 1984 and also duelled on the rugby pitch when Eddie lined out for DLSP v Suttonians. We lost touch after that but remember him fondly as a great bloke whom everyone had lots of time for. Deepest sympathy to you all. Allen and Adrienne Kiernan.

Deep condolences from the Batchelor family

I was so sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. As his (utterly inferior) centre partner during the mid 90s at Belsize Park Rugby Club, I can only say how sad it is that he is gone. My very best wishes to his family

Mark and Caroline Batchelor

From Christchurch, New Zealand

Dear Aine and Family

Shari and I were shocked at the news of Eddies passing. Can still remember when you two visited our place in Newington Green not long before you both returned to Ireland. Hope you can all pull together and stay strong at this difficult time. I always imagined I would see you both again one day and when I think of Eddie it’s always as I remember him at Belsize rugby club (Eddie Quick – the name says it all). God bless you all. Hope we can catch up at a happier time.

From Chris and Shari (ne McQueen) Palmer

Our thoughts from New Zealand

Aine and family, our deepest sympathy on hearing the news, thanks so much for the notice. As we watch the rugby here in New Zealand we will always remember Eddie and his great love of the game and his Irish team. I hope Eddie had the opportunity to watch one of Ireland's great results against Australia as I know that would make him very happy and content despite his own health.

Our thoughts are with you at this time. Lots of love Mark and Angela Hutton
