BURKE, Peter, of 'Massabielle', Old Lucan Road, Dublin 20 and formerly of Cloughbrack, Clonbur, Co. Galway - passed away on March 22, 2011; he was predeceased by his wife, Catherine (née Summerville), on November 15, 2006. On this first anniversary of his death, Peter's son Gerard (Limerick), daughters Carol (Burke-Heneghan) and Kathriona (O'Donnell), daughter-in-law Mary, sons-in-law Denis and Ciarán and his six grandchildren Conor, Dáire, Clodagh, Joe, Holly and Ciana, wish to extend our sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with us in our bereavement. We thank the many who called to our home or attended the funeral ceremonies and the many more who sent cards, letters and flowers. We are grateful to Fr. Pat Guckian for offering Peter's Requiem Mass and we thank Fr. Peter O'Reilly and Fr. Tom Kennedy of St Mary's Parish Lucan, Fr. Joe Kennedy, chaplain to An Garda Síochána, and Fr. Des Byrne, chaplain to Scoil Mhuire, for their kindness to us. We thank Peter's former colleagues in An Garda Síochána for their courtesy and kindness on the days of the funeral. We thank the doctors and nurses at James Connolly Memorial and Beaumont hospitals for their efforts on our father's behalf and for their kindness to us. We extend our warm thanks to our extended family and friends for their support. We thank especially Peter's neighbours for their friendship and assistance to our parents over many years and for their kindliness to us when they passed away. It would be impossible to thank everyone individually and so we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice will be offered for all your intentions.Slán a Peadar agus a Caitlín,
