O'CONNOR, Dr. Joseph Rex Fawcett (died October 9, 2010) - On this the First Anniversary of Rex's death, Phyllis and the family wish to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all of those who supported them throughout Rex's illness and passing. For the professional medical care received from Dr. Denis Kennedy, GP and the medical staff from Whitfield Clinic and Waterford Regional Hospital. To the vital at-home services of Waterford Hospice Homecare Palliative team, the HSE public health nurse, social work, occupational therapy and in-home care assistants services, the Home Instead team, and for the Irish Cancer Society's essential night nurse service. To Thompson's and O'Connor's Funeral Directors for organising the ceremonies and burial. To Fr. Arthur, management and former colleagues at Waterford Regional Hospital for the removal at the hospital chapel and to Fr. Donal O'Callaghan, Rodney Thompson and staff for the service at the Island Crematorium. We wish to thank family, friends, work colleagues, and neighbours who attended the funeral ceremonies, sent cards, letters, flowers, and donations to cancer charities. To those who phoned, visited and remembered us in their thoughts. Please accept this Acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation.
