HANLON (Hugh W.) (Died November 18, 2008) - Margaret, Fiona and Michael, Davin and Patricia, Kenny and the Hanlon family will always remember and are most appreciative of the kindness and support given to Hugh and ourselves during his illness and subsequent to his death; to all who called to our home, travelled long distances to be with us, attended Hugh's funeral Mass and burial, telephoned, wrote letters, sent Mass Cards and contributed to Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust, very many thanks. Hugh's funeral Mass was a very fitting celebration of his life. This could not have been possible without the thoughtfulness and long-time friendship of the chief celebrant Fr John Chester and our friends who concelebrated Mass with him; our soloist, readers, Adrian Brunton, conductor, and the members of Armagh City Choir who snag so movingly, all added greatly to the celebration; Hugh's former colleagues at St Macartan's College, Monaghan who were so faithful and encouraging during their constant visits to him, and the very respectful Guard of Honour provided by the staff and pupils of the college, and also Monaghan Rugby Club, our sincere thanks to you all. For the dedication and care given by our GP Dr Eamonn Duffy, Dr Paul Browne, Consultant Haematologist, St James's Hospital, Hugh's specialist nurse Siobhan McGuckin and all the staff who looked after Hugh during his illness, thank you. We will be forever grateful to our families, friends and neighbours who have been and continue to be so caring and supportive. You have given us the courage and hope to continue through this very sad time for us. We have prayed for all your intentions.
