From sailing Friends Carmel and Ken Kavanagh

We just learned to day of both Doris and Brian's deaths - we are utterly shocked and horrified as we were not aware of Brian's illness at all. We have been away on our boat "Safari of Howth" for the past 6 years but have been in email contact with Doris and indeed met them for lunch in Howth yacht club not that very long ago when both of them appeared to be in good health. Doris spoke a lot about her grandhcildren and never wanted to stay too long away from them and the family. Brian and my husband Ken got on very well together as sailors. We are so very very sorry that both have been taken so quickly.
