DONNELLY Paul John, (Rathgar, Dublin) (October 15, 2011) - Today, when my precious son Paul John Donnelly should have been celebrating his 20th birthday in this world, is the appropriate happy date for myself, Mary Murphy, as Paul's Mom, to acknowledge and thank from my heart all the wonderful and genuine people who showed a magnitude of caring and love to Paul's wonderful brothers Jeffrey and Gregory, to Paul's wonderful grandparents John and Sheila Murphy and myself on your hearing of the heartbreaking news of Paul's death. Quite simply friends, thank you all for your instant arrival to our homes to comfort us as best anyone could, for days and weeks, never ending beautiful letters of condolence, cards of sympathy, overwhelming generosity and pure goodness. To the paramedic team who did their utmost to revive my darling Paul, the medical team in St James Hospital and An Garda Siochana for their sensitivity and goodness, Fanagans Funeral Directors for their kindness and professionalism, Mary McKay for her humanist service which Paul would have loved, as did many people who commented on the simplicity and honesty of it's genuine meaning, to the beautiful Vard Sisters for their glorious singing of the special songs, to the friends of Paul, Jeffrey, Gregory, John, Sheila and myself who attended Paul's funeral, but especially to Paul's friends who loved him, as he loved you. When he was alive Paul told me of the brilliant happy times he enjoyed with you all. I know who you are good, kind, cultured and well reared young people, as was Paul.Thank you all."I adore you Paul, you are under my skin always, as are Jeffrey and Gregory. I hope you are blissfully happy over your rainbow now Sweetie and always. I cannot wait to meet you again, to enjoy your witty conversations, hear your laughter, see your smile. I will hug you, kiss you and tell you I love you Paul, as you know I do. That is my wish. You are a kind and gentle person Paul, who cannot be hurt anymore in this world.
