KEARNS (Alex) (Convent Road, Dun Laoghaire, died December 22, 2006) - On this his first anniversary Alex's sister Maureen and family wish to thank all those who helped him during his life and throughout his final illness. We would especially like to thank Fr. Neville O'Donohue of the Marianist Community, Ballybrack who helped Alex and his family prior to, and after, his death. Sincere thanks to Mr. Barry and his team and both the nursing staffs of St. Luke's Ward, St. Michael's Hospital and the I.C.U. of St. Vincent's University Hospital who made his last weeks both comfortable and dignified. Particular thanks are due to his neighbours on Convent Road especially Mrs. Carmel Offer, the Brennan family, Mr. Martin Barns, Mrs. Mary Moore and her late husband Ted. Also his neighbours on Wolf Tone Ave, Tivoli Tce and Mill Street particularly Ms. Eithne Doyle. A special thanks to all Alex's family and friends in particular his aunt, Dora Cheevers, Vincent and Joan Cheevers and Noel Suggs and family. We are grateful to Mr. Michael Donovan and staff, Funeral Directors, for their care and attention. We would particularly like to mention the Commissioners and staff of the Irish Lights, his former colleague Mr. Davis and also the Captain and crew of the Irish Lights Tender Granuaile III , as well as his former shipmates from the Alexandra, Isolda and Granuaile II. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. An Anniversary Mass is planned for 10 am on December 22, 2007 at St. Michael's Church, Dun Laoghaire. "Let those who think of Alex today a little prayer to Jesus say".
