SWEENEY Helena - On the First Anniversary of Helena's death after a long battle with Scleroderma, (June 13, 2010), the Sweeney family would thank all of those who sympathised with us on our sad loss. We thank all our relations, friends and neighbours in Kildare, Laois and Donegal who were so supportive and kind during her illness. She would want us to specifically acknowledge the expert care given by her GPs, Dr Sean Dunne and latterly, Dr Michael Collins, and the consultants in the St Vincent's and the Mater Hospitals, including the late Prof Barry Bresnihan, Prof Diarmuid O'Donoghue, Prof Douglas Veale, Prof Sean Gaine and Dr Cal Condon from Clane Hospital. We thank the nursing staff who cared for her over the years, particularly Freddie and Mary who were so kind during her final illness and the nurses in St. Vincent's Private Hospital. We would like to thank V Rev Adrian Carbery, Rev Gaspar Harbar and V Rev Sean Conlon for concelebrating the funeral Mass. Thanks also to the Duggan family for arranging the funeral and the Garda Siochana for facilitating the traffic control in Kildangan and Ballinakill. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
