ENNIS (Carol) (née Meehan) (Bray and Kilcock) - Died September 28, 2008, after a long bravely fought battle with cancer. First Anniversary Mass will be held in Newtown Church at 10.30 o'clock on Sunday, September 27, 2009. Her family would like to take this opportunity to thank most sincerely all those who attended her home on the day of her death, the removal Service and her funeral Mass and burial and who sent cards, flowers and letters of sympathy. We would like to thank so many people who were there for Carol during her very long illness, in particular the staff and students at Lucan Community College who throughout her ordeal provided her with the will to fight on, no matter how difficult the situation became. To the students who sang so beautifully at the Mass and who then provided the Guard of Honour, thank you. To all her many friends from school, hockey and college we thank you for your support. To Diane who throughout Carol's illness and death showed what a loyal friend she was, thank you. Thank you to Carol's neighbours and friends in Kilcock and the Ennis family who always looked after her and supported her so well, in particular following the death of her beloved husband, Ber. To the Oncology staff in the Mater Private, thank you for helping her for so many years. To the nurses from the Kildare Home Care Service, your support to Carol in the months before she died was so important and welcome. A special word of thanks to all the nurses and doctors at St. Brigid's Hospice who did all they could to make her last few weeks a happy and peaceful time. We want to thank the support and professionalism shown to the family by O'Reilly Undertakers in Prosperous. The removal and funeral Mass were indeed very special and for this we want to thank most sincerely Fr. John Daly and Fr. PJ of Newtown. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
