A former worker in the pharmacy

This is Orla Walsh (Buckley), just sending a message about my dear and beloved Mary who I worked for from 1991 to 1993 and then again for a short while in 1995.

I was there all weekend for her removal and her funeral and I felt it wasn't the place to tell you just how much Mary meant to me and as the priest said on Monday morning, everyone had their own memories of Mary. I think the fact that the church was packed was proof of how much she meant to her community and that is what everyone felt, we were part of a community.

She encouraged me to always be ladylike and that is something that is with me for life, I think back fondly those wonderful days spent in Naylors and just how well we got on, there are some memories that I will always hold dear and I shed a tear when I realise that this is no longer to be. Mary was a true lady and bore all her sufferings so patiently, even the day I went to see her, she asked about other people and never complained about her own pain and I'm sure that was extremely painful.

We have lost a truly wonderful and dear person but my memories will always remain.

God bless from

Orla Walsh (Buckley)
