MURTAGH (Mel) (Longford) (December 14, 2007) - Mel's wife Nan, sons, daughters, brother and sister deeply appreciate the support and sympathy of relatives, neighbours and friends during his illness and at the time of his death. Our thanks to all who called to our home, attended the removal, funeral Mass and burial and to all who sent Mass cards, letters and floral tributes. Sincere thanks to Bishop Colm O'Reilly and the many priests for the beautiful Mass. Thanks also to the organist and choir, sacristan and stewards. A special thank you to the Principal, former colleagues and students of St. Mel's College, Colmcille G.A.A, Golf and Bridge Clubs for their tributes and guard of honour. Our grateful thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Mullingar Regional Hosp., St. Joseph's Hosp. and Laurel Lodge. A special thank you to Dr. Paul Trueick and the homecare team, Drs., nurses and staff of St. Thérèse Ward for the wonderful care given to Mel. To Eamon Glennon, funeral director, for his kindness and professionalism, we say thank you. Mass has been offered for all in gratitude and appreciation.
