O'CONNOR (Dr Desmond Joseph) (Des) - February 16, 2007, in Australia, aged 86 years (peacefully), at hospital, late of Balgownie, formerly of Gwynneville, Wollongon, NSW, dearly beloved husband of Betty, loved father and father-in-law of Eoin and Adriana, Elizabeth, Louise and Bob Carroll, Rosemary and Ulf, dear grandpa of Sean, Richard, Kieran, David, Margot, Eamon, Christopher, Justin, Ahlia and Renee, loved brother and brother-in-law of Ivan and the late Ruth, dearly loved by his nieces and nephews; Des will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Funeral took place in St Brigid's Church, Gwynneville, Wollongong, NSW, Australia on February 20, 2007."At rest, in peace and laughter."
