CASEY (Fr. Jim) (Cloverhill, Roscommon) - The family of the late Fr. Jim who died on September 25 would like to thank most sincerely all those who attended his funeral masses at Cloverhill and Roscommon, all those who came to the burial in Roscommon, sent Mass cards and flowers and good wishes during his illness. We wish to thank The Bishop of Elphin diocese and all the priests who showed such goodness and kindness to him, attended the obsequies, celebrated Mass with him and for him and made his last days so memorable for all of us. We owe a deep debt of gratitude to the staff of the County Hospital, Roscommon for the love and care they lavished on him and with whom he felt so safe and trusting. We also wish to thank everybody who organized and took part in the funeral services at Cloverhill and Roscommon, the choirs from both churches and Clooneycolgan and his classmates from the Irish College in Rome where he spent such happy times and returned to as often as possible. To the people of Oran parish we offer a heartfelt thank you for your support and help during his time as your Parish Priest and also to the people of Tarmonbarry and the other parishes he served in and who came in such numbers to show their sympathy. As it would be impossible to thank each of you personally we hope this will be accepted as an expression of our appreciation and gratitude to all. A novena of Masses will be offered for your intentions.
