KELLY Fr. Joseph A., S.J. Died December 5, 2008 - Fr. Joe's sister, Oonagh O'Hagan, Blackrock, Dundalk and his Jesuit brother, Michael in Zambia, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their recent sad loss. We acknowledge with gratitude all those who attended Joe's wake and funeral Mass in Jersey City and his Memorial Masses in Milltown Park, St Malachy's (New York), and Point Lookout (New York). Our thanks also to those who sent Mass Cards, remembrance cards, messages of sympathy and thoughtful letters, and those who phoned us. Very special thanks to Fr. Kevin O'Rourke S.J. and the Jesuit Community at Milltown Park for their hospitality on the evening of Joe's Memorial Mass in mid-December and to Br John Adams S.J. for the beautiful music and singing during that Mass. We would like to say special thanks to those who provided Joe with loving care and attention when he had health setbacks. Our words can never be enough to say how deeply indebted we are to Joe's American friends, especially Sr Peggy, the Comerford family, Fran Casey, and Carmel Galasso, and also his Jesuit colleagues at America House in New York and St Peter's in Jersey City. Michael has already offered Mass for the intentions of all those in Ireland, the United States and elsewhere who have sympathised with us and will do so again each month throughout 2009.
