FEWER, Nicholas 'Nicky' (March 26, 2009) - Maria and Ian Fewer wish to thank everyone for the kindness and understanding shown to them on the recent death of a very loving husband and a great dad. We would like to extend our appreciation to the medical team that looked after him during his long illness, Prof John Fitzpatrick, Ian Fraser, Greg Leonard, John McCaffrey, Niall MacNamara and all the staff in the Radiotherapy and Oncology Wards and the nurses who attended him at the Mater Private Hospital. To Emmet Wall and his team in Waterford Regional Hospital and the Waterford Hospice nurses who provided tremendous support and care during the last stage of his illness. We would also like to thank our families, especially the Kennedy clan, our friends, neighbours in Faithlegg, Niall Harrington and the staff of Fewer Harrington & Partners and all of Nicky's friends and business colleagues for their thoughtfulness and support at this very difficult time. In addition, we would also like to convey very special thanks to Dean Trevor Lester in welcoming Nicky to Christ Church Cathedral for his farewell ceremony and to Gordon Watson, Frank Cole, Paul Nolan, Frank Kelly and Prof Kieran R Byrne who paid tribute to Nicky at the Cathedral. Their thoughts and words are a great comfort. Your kind words, cards, texts, emails and letters are very much appreciated and an affirmation of the esteem in which Nicky was held by us all. As it would be impossible to write to everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our deep and heartfelt appreciation.
