O'HANLON Thomas MVB MRCVS. Gusserane, New Ross, Co. Wexford. (1945 - 2010.) On April 13, our beloved Tom passed unexpectedly to his eternal rest, We, Tom's Family, his wife Anna, daughters Karen, Jenny, Claire, and Laura, sons-in-law Adrian and Dave, are deeply grateful for the expression of sympathy and wonderful kindness shown to us at this difficult and very sad time. Thank you to all who called personally to our home, who travelled short or long distances in Ireland and from England to attend the removal, funeral Mass and burial. Your presence throughout those difficult days was a great consolation to us and is very much appreciated. We are sincerely grateful to Fr. Sean Laffan for his support and understanding, and his concelebration of Tom's funeral Mass together with Fr. Jim Furlong and Fr. Sean Gorman and to all the priests who attended. Thank you to the sacristan, cemetery caretaker, those who prepared the church, the Eucharistic ministers and altar servers. Thank you to Aine and Aileen for your beautiful music making Tom's Mass so special for us. Thank you to the Funeral Director and her team for the caring manner in which they dealt with all aspects of the funeral. We would like to thank you for your Mass cards, telephone calls and letters of sympathy. Thank you to Dr. Kevin Byrne, for his kind assistance and for his continued support and care. Thank you to the Gardai for their courtesy and much needed help over those days. Thank you to those who kept vigil with Tom at our home. A heartfelt Thank you to all who helped to get Claire home in time for her Dad's removal, it meant so much to all of us and we are truly grateful. Very sincere thanks to the many many people who provisioned our family with food, support and great kindness in the days following Tom's death and to our wonderful neighbours and friends who provided constant catering at our home. Sincere thanks to all at St. Louis' Day Care Centre, Ramsgrange, for your great generosity and kindness. Thank you for your donations to the centre which were very gratefully received. Our thanks to St. Louis' Sisters, Ramsgrange, and Sisters of Mercy, New Ross, for the special effort you made to visit our home making Tom's vigil a spiritual and prayerful occasion. Thanks to the proprietor and staff of the Horse and Hound Hotel for your invaluable help and consideration. Our sincere thanks to all Tom's colleagues and friends at the Department of Agriculture and Food for being with us again on this very sad occasion and we thank you for your continual support in helping us to bear our great loss. We acknowledge and appreciate the support of the extended O'Hanlon and Chambers family and our dear cousins in the west of Ireland. Thanks to Lar Costello, a lifelong and trusted friend of Tom. Our deep appreciation for their many letters and phone calls to Fr. Michael O'Brien and Fr. Stan Murray, USA, and Fr. Jim Nolan, Solomon Islands. Our very sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of you. Your expressions of sympathy, care, kindness and encouragement helped to ease the pain of Tom's untimely departure and indeed contributed enormously to making this sad occasion one of peace and acceptance. We do hope that we have included everyone who helped us in any great or little way and we are deeply grateful to all of you. A novena of Masses will be offered for your intentions at St. John the Baptist Church, Gusserane. Our prayer is;
In your Mercy Lord,
grant our dearest Tom
a safe lodging,
a holy rest and peace at last.
Amen.
