MAGUIRE Conor (Glasnevin) died November 27, 2008 - Conor's wife Frances, children Róisín and Shane, brother Paraic, sisters Bríd, Gráinne, Éilis, Máire, Mairéad and the extended family, thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us following our sad loss, those who attended the removal and funeral, especially those who came long distances to offer support; those who sent Mass cards or floral tributes, and his former colleagues in Hewlett Packard, Novell, Microsoft and Symantec. We thank too our wonderful neighbours and friends who offered invaluable help in looking after the large numbers of visitors to the house. Conor loved the time he spent outdoors and it was great to see so many friends from that part of his life - friends from his Scouting days, members of the Poolbeg Yacht and Boat Club, the OGA. We appreciated too the attendance of people from Conor's other great interest - music - in particular the musicians from the Oldtown session. We are very grateful to Fr. Michael Cullen and Fr. Derek Harris, two long standing friends, who both travelled to our parish to help celebrate the funeral Mass for Conor along with the priests of Our Lady of Victories Church. We have been really heartened and comforted by the tremendous support received at a time when we were devastated by loss. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation and over the coming weeks we will begin writing to thank people individually.
