He will be sadly missed

I knew Joe since I was about 7 years of age. He and Lettie became great friends with my parents, Arthur and Eva, following the departure of my brother Des to England in 1955. I will never forget the fun and joy they brought to our house in Hazelbrook on their many visits. Joe always brought great laughter, fun and discussions to the house. I remember the devastation at the death of Lettie and his courage and determination to look after his family of young children. He remained a good and true friend to all the Barrett family all his life

Mairin Colleary (Barrett)
