RUSSELL Peter (Grantstown Village, Waterford) - Died November 19, 2009. Loved and missed so much. On the first anniversary of the death of our beloved Peter, Anne, Aideen and Eimear together with his brothers Vincent and Raymond and extended family would like to thank most sincerely all who comforted and supported us at the time of Peter's death and throughout the past year. We will never forget the love, kindness and generosity of our wonderful family, friends and neighbours. We are deeply grateful to you all. We thank, in particular, Maureen who helped in so many ways and who did everything possible to ease the burden throughout Peter's illness. Special thanks also to Mairéad who provided a home for us in Dublin and who showed us such love and compassion. We thank all who travelled long distances in very difficult weather conditions to be with us and to say goodbye to Peter, all who telephoned, sent Mass cards, messages of sympathy and prayers and all who wrote and spoke of Peter with such fondness. Our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Caitriona Mooney who looked after Peter in such a loving and caring way and to the Waterford Homecare Team who made it possible for him to remain at home until the end. We will always be grateful to Rev. David Keating, Chaplain of the WIT for his sensitivity and gentle guidance and for making Peter's Funeral Mass such a personal and moving tribute to a vital and very special man. Sincere thanks also to Rev. Crotty (PP. Ferrybank) and Rev. Cooney (PP. St. Joseph and St. Benildus) for their kindness and comforting presence. Thank you to Vanessa Brophy who sang so beautifully and to Pat Hennessey, Funeral Director, for his professionalism and understanding at a time of great confusion and grief. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for you all as a token of our gratitude. Peter will always be remembered with pride and deep love.His soul "like a star, beacons from
the abode where the Eternal are".
