O'CONNELL, David, Malahide, Donabate and Tyrrelstown, August 9, 2009 - The family of David wish to thank most sincerely everyone who sympathised and supported them in their sad loss. To those who attended the funeral, sent Mass cards, letters and messages of sympathy and to those who supported cancer care at St James's Hospital. To neighbours, relatives and friends who helped in so many ways. A very special thanks to Prof Ken O'Byrne, the staff of Walter Stevenson ward, the Haematology Oncology day ward and everyone else at St James's Hospital for their wonderful care for David; to Fr Tanham for his kindness, prayers and celebration of the Mass and Fr Brian Gough, Chaplain at St James's; to Maura McManus and the Church choir for the beautiful singing of such lovely hymns; to Rocks Funeral Directors whose professionalism and help were much appreciated. To all we hope that this acknowledgement of your support and kindness will be accepted as a token of our appreciation and gratitude. David's first anniversary Mass will be on Sunday, August 8 at 11.15 am at St Sylvester's Church, Malahide.
