MAHER (Bill) (Died April 6, 2009) - Bill's daughters, Ann, Mary, Patricia and Rita, daughter-in-law, Mary, sister, Sr. M Elizabeth, wish to thank most sincerely our relatives, friends and neighbours who sympathised with us on our sad loss, attended the removal and funeral Mass, also for the cards and letters of sympathy, flowers, kind telephone and personal calls. A special word of thanks to Fr. Noel Maher, PP Aghaboe and to the priests who concelebrated the Mass and led the final prayers for Bill. Our thanks to the altar servers and for the tributes paid by the guards of honour. The preparations made by the Aghaboe Preservation Committee were especially appreciated. We extend our thanks to the Gardaí and stewards for their assistance with the funeral cortege, to the gravediggers and Jimmy Guilfoyle, funeral director. We also thank the doctors and staff of Mountrath Health Centre, especially Dr Ailish Phelan, Bill's carers, Joan Kirwan and her colleagues and Sylvia Brown. The support and friendship extended to Bill, particularly throughout his final years, is greatly appreciated. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
