O'KELLY Desmond Rea (Howth, Co. Dublin) - February 17, 2011 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff of The Brymore Nursing Home. Beloved husband of the late Brenda and brother of the late Maurice and his late sister Pat; sadly missed by his relatives and his many friends. Rest in Peace. Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand. Requiem Mass on Monday at 11.30 o'c in The Church of The Assumption, Howth. Funeral thereafter to Glasnevin Cemetery.

O'KELLY Desmond Rea (Howth) died February 17, 2011 - On the First Anniversary of Des's death, his nieces and nephews would like to thank those who sympathised with them on his passing and who acknowledged and appreciated his long and distinguished Architectural career and association with the Golfing Union of Ireland. Special thanks to the Proprietors, Management and Staff of the Deerpark Hotel, Howth for their kindness to him, particularly since the death in 2002 of his beloved wife Brenda. We also wish to thank his great friends Ann MacNeice and Paddy Cagney for their invaluable support and assistance to him and also his good friends and neighbours. Sincere thanks to the Management and Staff of Brymore House Howth, for their care and comfort in his final year. His funeral Mass was marked with a guard of honour of the Captains and past Captains of Howth Golf Club. Their support and that of the members and their recognition of his contribution to the Club over several decades was greatly appreciated. We are very grateful to Monsignor Brendan Houlihan PP who was a great source of strength to Des in his illness and who celebrated the funeral Mass. Des's First Anniversary Mass will take place in the Church of the Assumption, Howth on Saturday February 18 at 10.00 am. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
