My sincere condolences

Dear Mrs. McElroy,

I had the pleasure of knowing Professor McElroy during my time as an Administrative Officer in the Economics Department from 1983 to 1987. Prof. McElroy was instrumental in getting me into GU's Law School, and I was saddened to learn recently that he was no longer with us.

Prof. McElroy was a gracious, kind and caring man, brilliant in Economics. I spent lots of time typing his manuscripts, and still remember laughing with him about what he called his scratches! I consider it a great honor to have served Prof. McElroy, and my prayers are with you and your family.

Allan Mascarenhas
