O'FLAHERTY (Clare) (First Anniversary) - Clare's parents Carmel and James, her brothers Paschal, Gerard and Séamus and her sister Colette, with Leo, Agnes, Oonagh and all the family, wish to express their sincere gratitude to all those who provided such wonderful support and comfort around the time of Clare's illness and death. We would like to thank especially Marina and a wide circle of dedicated friends and neighbours whose support enabled Clare to live her last months in her beloved Tudor Road. We thank Clare's colleagues in the Department of Foreign Affairs and her many friends from near and far who visited or kept in contact and whose constancy and love meant more than words can ever express. We would also like to pay tribute to her G.P., Dr Pauline King, to Nurse Mary Thornton and her Health Board physio and O.T. colleagues, the wonderful Hospice Home Care Team and staff of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association, all of whom were outstanding sources of care and support; to the clergy of the Church of The Holy Name, Beechwood Avenue, and Clare's fellow parishioners, we extend our sincere gratitude. In particular, we would like to thank Very Rev Paul Freeney, P.P., Beechwood Avenue who officiated at Clare's removal and funeral Mass, and Fr Paul Murray O.P. for his homily. We thank Clare's friends in Rome and Washington DC who arranged for special Masses in her memory. We hope that everyone will accept this notice as a sincere expression of our gratitude. We shall always be grateful. Clare will be remembered at Mass in the Church of The Holy Name, Beechwood Avenue, Ranelagh on Sunday, September 11, 2005 at 12 noon.
