<p>Remembering you with fondness.</p> <p style="text-align:left"><br />I was very saddened to hear of the unexpected death of my uncle, Breandan.</p> <p style="text-align:left">Though we did not meet often, I was proud of him and his achievements, all of which Auntie Rose kept me up to date.</p> <p style="text-align:left">What I remember was a man of few spoken words, but quietly brilliant, with a humility that shone as bright as his vast and far-reaching academic work. He was true to his love of Irish and family.</p> <p style="text-align:left">My sincerest condolences to Aingeal, Brid-Og, Cliodhna and Traolach, and to his grandchildren.
