ROBERTS (John) (Died February 13, 2007) - As we arrive at the first anniversary of the death of our beloved John, we, his wife Emer, and children Sarah and Henry wish to express our sincere gratitude to those who sympathized and shared with us in our deep loss. We very much appreciate the compassion and support we received during this time and in the months that followed, from our families, friends, neighbours, work colleagues and village community. We extend thanks to Father Eamonn Clarke for his reflections during the funeral Mass. Grateful appreciation to Brid O'Neill, Principal and Claire Maloney in allowing the children of St. Brigid's Girls School, Kilcoole, to sing at John's Mass. A big thank you to Alison Vines, who sang with great sensitivity the pieces we as a family had chosen to celebrate our love for John. A special mention to Sarah Kuntz who stayed in the background and gave endlessly of her time. Our heartfelt thanks to all who came to see John at home, those who attended the reposal, funeral Mass, and burial, especially those who travelled long distances to be with us. All of the many acts of kindness, every card, letter, phone call, visit and gift were a source of great comfort to us. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Sacrifice of the Mass is offered for your intentions.I have desired to go
Where springs not fail,
To fields where flies
no sharp and sided hail
And a few lilies blow.
And I have asked to be
Where no storms come,
Where the green swell is in
the havens dumb,
And out of the swing of the sea.
