O'NEILL (Vera) (née Hayes) (Templeogue, Dublin 16) (Died February 13, 2007) - On this, Vera's first anniversary, her husband Heuston, sons Eamonn, Brian, Peter, Stephen, and daughter Helen, her brother, sisters and extended family express our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us on the sad loss of our beloved Vera. We deeply appreciate your kindness, generosity of spirit and support. In particular, we thank the doctors, nurses, and support staff of the first floor, Mount Carmel Hospital and the Nightingale Unit, Blackrock Clinic, for the wonderful care and kindness to Vera during her illness. Thank you to all who attended Vera's removal and Requiem Mass, with special appreciation of the many who travelled long distances to attend. To those who sent Mass cards, certificates of enrolment, Mass novenas, who wrote supportive letters expressing their love and admiration for Vera which moved us deeply, we will be always grateful. It brought home to us the high esteem in which she was held by so many. A special thanks to the Captains and members of Beech Park Golf Club who were there in great numbers to say farewell and who continue to support us. To the wonderful ladies of Doddervale Flower Club, our sincere thanks for their support and to Bernie, Eithne and their colleagues who decorated the altar in honour of Vera's great love of flowers and her flower arranging for Ballyroan Church. We thank Fr. Gerry Kane, P.P, Ballyroan, for the tremendous support he gave to Vera and the family prior to and following her passing and for his very thoughtful sermon at the funeral Mass. Also special thanks to Fr. Cormac McIlraith, a great friend, who said the final commendation prayers. Thank you to Gifford Whittle for her beautiful singing and we recall the contributions to the liturgy by Vera's grandchildren. Thanks also to Jody Fanagan and Patricia Brennan of Fanagans Funeral Directors for a professional funeral Service and sensitive advice. We are deeply grateful to Vera's wide circle of friends and relatives, especially her special friends whom she held close and dear, and our thanks also to our own friends, colleagues, neighbours and loved ones who supported us during difficult times. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for all your intentions. Vera's Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on Sunday February 17 at 12 o'clock in the Church of the Holy Spirit, Ballyroan."Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis."
