CARROLL (W. Eamon) (formerly of Tramore, Co. Waterford) - May 22, 2007 (peacefully), at home, in the loving care of his wife and three children in Allentown, Pennsylvania, devoted and loving husband of Judith (née Quirke, of Castletroy, Co. Limerick) and adored father of Vincent, Adrian, and Vanessa. He will also be sadly missed by brothers Paul and Frank Carroll, brothers-in-law Austin, Vincent, and Brendan Quirke, sisters-in-law Linda and Pat Carroll, and many dear friends. Eamon completed his Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of Cork, where he met his wife Judith. Eamon and Judith were married on July 29, 1973, and shortly thereafter moved to Bristol, England, where he pursued his post-doctoral studies. Eamon and Judith emigrated to the United States permanently in 1977, and in 1980 settled with their three children in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Eamon worked for 22 years with Air Products and Chemicals as a Senior Development Manager, and most recently worked as Director of Product Development with Cetylite Industries in Pennsauken, New Jersey. He will always be fondly remembered for his kind and gentle nature, sharp mind, wonderful sense of humor, and deep loyalty to those he loved. He will also be remembered for the constant courage and dignity he showed during his battle with cancer.
