A special word of thanks to Fr. Declan Doyle for a memorable funeral Mass and for his attendance at Glasnevin Crematorium. Thanks to Fr. Cathal Price and Marlene Moran (Parish Funeral Team) for their prayers and support when we brought Paddy home and to soloist Lorraine Maguire for her beautiful singing at the church. Thanks also to Mr. James McCarthy (Mater Private) and his team, together with the physios, nursing and all the healthcare staff in the Mater ITU who cared for Paddy. Paddy's ashes were scattered on his parents' grave in Killasmeestia, Co. Laois. Dean Seamus McEvoy celebrated Mass and recalled incidents from their childhood years. Thanks to him and to all Paddy's cousins, friends and neighbours who attended the scattering of his ashes in Killasmeestia. On behalf of the family, we would like to thank Paddy's friends and colleagues and the friends, workmates and colleagues of all members of the family who attended the house, removal and funeral. In particular we would like to mention staff members past and present of the City of Dublin VEC, Broadstone Studios, Ernst and Young, New York, Accenture, Ipsen and the Orthopaedic Hospital, Clontarf. We would like to thank the teachers and pupils, past and present of O'Connell Schools, Bray Concert Band, Communications Workers Band and individuals from the showband era who played with Paddy. The family wish to acknowledge the attendance and kind wishes of people from the Bowling League of Ireland, Clontarf Golf and Bowling Club, Ladies Bowling League of Ireland, C.A.D.S. Golf Society, along with his many friends in Sutton, St. Anne's and Donabate Golf Clubs and North Dublin Captains. We would also like to thank all those who sent Mass cards and beautiful letters of sympathy, along with the wonderful neighbours who were our catering team and provided sustenance to relatives and friends who called to our home. Throughout Paddy's illness, we were humbled by the kindness, practical support and presence of people when we needed it most. Thanks also to Stafford Funeral directors for their efficiency and sensitivity. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
