McDOWELL (née Platt) - December 1, 2008, peacefully, at home, Joan, much loved wife for 50 years of Harry McDowell, of Celbridge Lodge, Co. Kildare, adored mother of Emily (De Montford) and Louise, grandmother of Freddie, mother-in-law of John. Reposing at home. Removal this (Tuesday) evening arriving at 7 o'clock at Christchurch, Celbridge. Funeral Service tomorrow (Wednesday) at 12 Noon followed by interment at Donacomper Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Kildare and West Wicklow Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of which Joan has been President for many years.
