LYNCH, Cyril (Raheny) - Today on his first anniversary and the week of his birthday, Maria his wife, his sons Brian and Niall and his sister Carmel along with all his extended family wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their sad loss. Your presence in such great numbers was a great comfort and a fitting tribute to Cyril. To those who sent Mass Cards, letters and for the wonderful contribution to Abacas, thank you. We would very much like to thank the following for their kindness and support at Cyril's sudden passing - the staff in the A&E in Waterford General Hospital, the Gardai in New Ross and Raheny, the Ambulance Service, Fr. Art who gave Cyril the Last Rites and two special people who came to Cyril's assistance at the accident - Roisin and Enda Walsh. A very special thank you to George Reid, Matt Gahan, Tom O'Connor, Frank McKenna, Barry Hall and Bernie Dillon who were with Cyril for his last game of golf. Thanks to Cyril's cousin Fr. Jack Lynch who gave a loving homily on Cyril's life, also to Monsignor John Fitzpatrick, Fr. Cathal Price and Fr. Declan Doyle PP who celebrated the Mass and to Fr. Jim Caffrey PP who celebrated Mass in the Holy Land. To the Organist of Christ Church Cathedral, John Hughes, for playing so beautifully during the ceremony. We would like to say a special word of thanks to all our neighbours and our many, many friends, the Directors and staff of AON MacDonagh and Boland, Captain and Lady Captain and members of Howth Golf Club, Beaverstown Golf Club, Smurfit Kappa Group and Golf Society, Smurfit Monday Club, the CIBI and all Cyril's insurance colleagues who were present, Catholic Youth Care, Foxfield-Sutton Ladies Society, Howth Golf Club and Beann Eadair Bridge Clubs, Swan Electric and KADCA, Barna Active Retirement Group and the Tooher Family, Ballyeighan. Thank you to Anne and Evelyn of Frank Jennings Undertakers for the dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. Anniversary Mass this (Saturday) evening at 6.30 o'clock in St. John the Evangelist Church, Kilbarrack/Foxfield.
