WHELAN (St Vincent's Park, Temple Hill, Blackrock, Co. Dublin and formerly of London) - March 24, 2005 (peacefully) after a long illness in the loving, tender and spoilt care of the staff and volunteers in St Gabriel's Ward, Our Lady's Hospice, Harolds Cross, Derek (Dell), beloved husband to Denise (née Mears) and loving father to Daryl; deeply regretted by his loving wife, son, his father-in-law Patrick, mother-in-law Annette, his Nan-in-law Annie, his best friends Alan, Debbie, Denise and Michelle, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, his brothers, sisters, his Mam and Dad, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, relatives and his friends at the Open Door Day Centre in Bray. Rest in peace. Funeral this (Saturday) morning after 11 o'clock Prayers at St John the Baptist Church, Blackrock to Deans Grange Cemetery. (Family flowers only please.
